About Our Founders
Alex Lowenthal
Alex, a University of Maryland alumnus with a degree in finance, brings a diverse and well-rounded background to his role at Green Door. His career began in the financial sector, gaining valuable experience at an investment management firm and later at Nasdaq, where he developed deep expertise in capital markets and financial strategy. Building on this foundation, Alex transitioned into the technology industry, working alongside Travis Kalanick, the former CEO of Uber. This experience provided him with firsthand insights into the fast-paced world of tech startups and high-growth businesses. He then launched his own fintech company, combining his financial acumen with his passion for innovation. Through that journey, Alex realized that many businesses struggling with financial issues were often focused on fixing symptoms rather than addressing the root cause of their growth challenges. This realization led him to establish The Green Door Company, with a mission to help businesses across industries build a strong foundation for sustainable growth through strategic marketing, sales initiatives, and operational consulting.
Jack Wilkie
Jack holds a degree in Economics from the University of Maryland and began his professional journey in sales at Dell Technologies. It was there that he cultivated essential sales skills and garnered an understanding of the enterprise technology sector. Following this experience, Jack ventured into entrepreneurship alongside his college friend, Alex Lowenthal. Together, they founded a business funding firm dedicated to funding for small businesses. Within a mere three years, their firm successfully secured over $250 million in funding for these businesses. Jack's expertise extends primarily into sales and marketing, where he demonstrates an aptitude for staying aware of industry-specific marketing strategies. He oversees his team’s execution of these strategies to ensure consistent lead generation and sales for the company.
